Japanese Whisky Tasting Event

  • 22 Jun 2017
  • 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
  • Osaka Bar, Potts Point
  • 10

Taste a range of whiskies with complementary Japanese food!

Japanese whisky-making began with the foundation of the first single malt distillery at Yamazaki in 1923. Despite this shorter history, the reputation of Japanese whisky is now deservedly high and Japan is the third largest producer in the world.

Osaka Bar in Potts Point (close to Kings Cross station) is the location for our first AJS-NSW whisky tasting.

We will be tasting 4 Japanese whiskies and for comparison one from Tasmania.

  • Suntory Single Malt The Yamazaki (Osaka)
  • Blended Whisky Yamazakura Black Label (Fukushima)
  • Mars Whisky Iwai Tradition (Kagoshima)
  • Nikka 100% Malt Whisky (Hokkaido)
  • Hellyers Road Single Malt (Tasmania)

Matching Japanese food on shared plates will be served.

This event is expected to be popular so be quick to signup! Seats are limited.

Registrations are now open online, or use the form and pay offline.
