Help celebrate our annual university awards with outstanding students, their teachers and the Consul-General of Japan in Sydney!

The Society's patron and newly-appointed Consul-General of Japan in Sydney Mr. Masato Takaoka will speak on “PM Tony Abbott’s visit to Japan in April and  Australia-Japan cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region”. Following his speech, the Consul-General will present the awards.

AJS-NSW offers annual awards to outstanding students of Japanese at six NSW universities: the Universities of Sydney, NSW, Western Sydney, Wollongong, Macquarie and UTS. This event is a special event attended by the awardees and their teachers, with wide support from the entire community encouraging the teaching of Japanese and supporting the Australia-Japan relationship.

The awards ceremony will be followed by a networking reception.

This annual event is always a lively evening. We look forward to welcoming members and friends and especially our awardees and their lecturers.
