Speaker bios

Ken Takahashi is a Japan-qualified lawyer (bengoshi) committed to providing quality legal assistance for his corporate clients, including small and medium-sized enterprises and medical corporations, in a wide range of practice areas including M&A, business contracts, dispute resolution, sports law and international business law, with a particular focus on Australia. He also acts as the legal counsel for many companies. His Australian legal practice ranges from assisting Japanese companies with investments in Australia, to providing advice and assistance in relation to wills and inheritance for Japanese individuals who own assets both in Japan and Australia.

Tin-Lok Shea is a bilingual (English/Japanese) solicitor practising primarily in the areas of commercial / corporate and taxation law. His particular focus is on Asian and Asian-Australian businesses, which include Japanese, Korean and Chinese listed companies, government bodies and multinationals, for whom he has acted on a number of M&A transactions and other high-profile commercial matters.


Dai Ueda was born in Niigata, Japan. He migrated to Australia and graduated from Macquarie University and then later from the University of New South Wales in law. At H&H Lawyers, he has gained years of experience in a variety of matters – corporate law, employment law, succession law, family law etc. – many of which have Japan/Australia multi-jurisdictional flavours.

The formal talk will be followed by a networking reception.
