Japanese Speaking Night

"Shaberanaito" (Japanese speaking night) is back for 2026! Join AJS-NSW and JETAA NSW members and some young people from Japan to speak Japanese while eating delicious Japanese food!
This time we will be joined by eight visiting students from Teikyo Heisei University, based in Nakano Tokyo, and their Professor, so we look forward to engaging with them over dinner.
Thanks to the success of last year's similar event with the students, we will again hold this event at Izakaya Masuya (Ground Floor, 12-14 O’Connell St, Sydney 2000). This time with a new menu! We will also have the entire restaurant to ourselves (貸し切り).
Date: Friday 20th February 2026
Time: 6:00pm Start (Doors open from 5:30pm)
Location: Izakaya Masuya (Ground Floor, 12-14 O’Connell St, Sydney 2000)
Cost*: $60pp (AJS NSW, JETAA Members, and Students!), $65 non-members. *Set menu includes one drink
Registration Closes: Monday 16 Feb or when spots are filled (max 40 people so sign up quickly!)

Cancellation Policy*: Please understand that cancellation is not permitted after the registration closing date, as we need to finalise our numbers with the restaurant.
